


Congratulations to Dr. Pratapsingh Varute on Receiving the Prestigious FRCS Degree
We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Pratapsingh Varute, Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at D.Y. Patil Medical College, has been honored with the esteemed Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, UK. This prestigious honorary degree is a recognition of his exceptional service to patients and outstanding contributions to society.
The degree was conferred upon Dr. Varute by Dr. Abhay Rane, Registrar of the Royal College, during a ceremony held in Agra. This accolade acknowledges Dr. Varute's significant medical service and social work, as recognized by the 447-year-old Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow.
At the recent ASI convocation, Dr. Varute was honored with this honorary degree. The ceremony also acknowledged his valuable contributions as the Secretary of the Association of Surgeons of India over the past three years.
Established 447 years ago, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow is a renowned institution that awards postgraduate degrees in various fields in the UK and recognizes individuals worldwide for their significant contributions in education, healthcare, research, and social service.
Dr. Varute has successfully treated numerous patients through surgeries and laparoscopic procedures in Western Maharashtra. He has also performed many free surgeries for poor patients through D.Y. Patil Medical College.
