Demonstration of Basic Life Support activities
The Department of Paediatrics had sucessfully organised the ” IAP Certified BLS Course for Health Care Providers”.
The facilitator of BLS course Dr. Nivedita Patil welcomed the chief guest of the function, Dr. R.K Sharma, Dean of D.Y. Patil Medical College.
BLS (Basic Life Support) course is an hands on training module designed by Indian Academy of Pediatrics. The department has a well equipped skill lab and dedicated 20 Manikin’s for hands on training. This course was designed for healthcare professionals who need the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies and provide remedy in a safe timely and effective manner.
Study material in form of books was provided to registered candidates.
The course is an important step in center accreditation. Once the center is accredited as IAP BLS training centre, we intend to train doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. We also plan to carry mass awareness programs.
