D. Y. Patil Education Society, (Deemed to be University), Kolhapur, India and Mid Sweden University Sweden have been jointed awarded with International collaborative research project worth of Rs. 12 lakhs from the Swedish Foundation for International cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT). The collaborative project is related to development of green supercapacitors for renewable energy storage. The Graphone electrodes and other materials will be prepared using green chemical methods and utilized hybrid in supercapacitors for the storage of renewable energy. The another objective of the project is to strengthen the research collaboration between D. Y. Patil Education Society and Mid Sweden University, Sweden by organizing guest lectures, seminars and workshops and seek long term educational research prospects with joint supervision of master and Ph.D. students. This will enable to start new International Programs.
The Project teams consisting of Prof. Hakan Olin, Dr. Manisha Phadatare, Mr. Nicklas Blomquist, Mr. Rohan Patil from Mid Sweden University, Sweden and Research Director Prof. C. D. Lokhande, Dr. Umakant Patil, Dr. Jaywant Gunjkar, Mr. Rahul Pujari from D. Y. Patil Education Society (Deemed to be University), Kolhapur, India will jointly work on the manufacturing materials and electrodes for improving the performance of supercapacitors.
Dr. Manisha Phadatare, Assistant Professor, D. Y. Patil Education Society is currently working as Post Doctoral Fellow at Mid Sweden University, Sweden and has taken initative for this project.
